Topic: Can Government Meetings Be Sustainable?
Speaker: Suzanne Morrell, IATAN, MBA, CSEP
Can you make your government meeting sustainable?
We all know sustainability in events is the right thing to do. However with numerous restrictions, is sustainability a realistic priority in government events? Join Sustainable Event Professional Suzanne Morrell for a discussion on how you can navigate the roadblocks and engage stakeholders and suppliers, while taking action towards preserving our natural environment. We’ll do a deep dive and discuss scalable solutions in food waste reduction strategies, sourcing locally, and giving back to the local economy.
Our CSR project for this event will be a planner VS supplier food drive to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). The winner will be determined based on the number of items donated per category. See attached flyer for more information about AFAC and food items needed.
