After spending over 20 years developing students, teachers, administrators and strengthening communities, Ed realized the best way to help future generations was to become an influential leader who impacts those who impact others in the workplace, community, schools and families. His life mission is to transform lives through leadership development, wellness & self-care, and personal growth.

As a humble leader, who overcame challenges, setbacks, and other barriers Ed credits his success to his faith, parents, educators, mentors and coaches for equipping him with the skills and mindset necessary for beating the odds of attaining success. He went from being an unmotivated secondary school student to earning various college degrees to deepen his understanding of business, leadership, and human behavior.

As an Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team he provides executive coaching, leadership training, and keynotes. Ed believes people are the most valuable resources in every organization and that cultivating a culture of leadership is critical to long-term organizational success.

Internationally, he has worked with leaders in Paraguay, Nigeria, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, and Philippines.

His coaching and leadership training focuses on empowering and equipping people to effectively connect with others, stretch beyond their comfort zone, and apply sound wisdom to build their foundation for long-term success. His passion is visible when he is developing leaders of all ages to become creative solution innovators.

Ed has served in various leadership roles in private industry and secondary schools recognized among the top 100 schools in America. He has served on various advisory boards for nonprofit organizations dedicated to equipping the next generation for success. He served as the 2016 - 2017 President of the Maryland School Counselor Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the profession of school counseling and maximizing student potential. In 2017 he was honored as the MCPS Middle School Counselor of the Year. Ed earned a “Telly Award” as an educational expert for his contributions to the award winning television show, “Congratulations! You’re In!” Afterwards, he became the host for two seasons. Ed was also the 2017 John Maxwell Team Award Winner for Equipping Others.
