Learn more about the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) rules and how they impact our meeting and event data. Find out what you need to know to protect your company/agency. We will also discuss protecting personal data and privacy issues.

Speakers:

Crystal Jones leads IP, software, apps, technology, data protection, and marketing, matters for the global digital and technology consulting firm ICF as Data Protection Officer, Assistant General Counsel & Director, Corporate Business Services.  Crystal also provides legal counsel to, and serves on, ICF’s Information Technology Work Group, Insider Threat Committee and Information Security Management Systems Governance Steering Committee Team.  Prior to joining ICF, Crystal worked in various legal roles for The Nature Conservancy, SSAS® Enterprises LLC, Verizon, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer and the Federal Trade Commission – Bureau of Competition.  She has served as a Professorial Lecturer at Georgetown University Law Center for nearly 10 years, and serves on several youth leadership, homeless prevention, arts and entertainment not-for-profit Boards. She earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and EU Law Certificate from the European University Institute in Italy.
 
Theresa Livan is the Data Protection Risk Manager for ICF, a global digital and technology consulting firm. As ICF’s first Data Protection GR Manager, Theresa assess, manages, and advises staff on data privacy and data security standards and risks. She also assists the Data Protection Officer to build an enterprise-wide data protection program.
Prior to her current position, Theresa worked in IT, implementing various operational processes, improving IT governance, to enforce end user software license and hardware compliance.  Theresa holds a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University.  She also has served as a Guest Lecturer at Georgetown University Law Center.

 

The Fairview Park Marriott provides a complimentary shuttle from the Dunn Loring Metro station to the hotel. There will be two shuttles running in advance of the meeting and post event.
