Paid Options:
When it comes to paid options, we have plenty! We won’t go into detail on the common ones like CGMP, CMP, CMM, CEM, etc. Let’s look at digital certifications and the unique ones you may not have looked at before.

First, two digital certifications exist. One from PCMA and one from MPI.  The PCMA course has been around for several years and the MPI course is new and offered in conjunction with the Event Leadership Institute.

Digital Event Strategist PCMA’s DES Online Course is a seven-week, interactive program teaching you how to strategically plan, produce and measure digital and hybrid (in-person and digital) events. Take the live, seven-week, interactive program, or the self-paced course that best fits your schedule. Following the course, the candidate must pass the DES exam to earn the credential.

Virtual Event & Meeting Management Program This course is designed for industry professionals who are looking to build on their existing event management skillset and experience by learning the fundamentals needed to plan and manage virtual events.

Other Options:
Hootsuite Academy offers multiple certifications ranging from a Standard Hootsuite Platform Certification to Advanced Social Advertising Certification. This is a great fit for planners who manage multiple social media channels.

Digital Marketing Certification The Digital Marketing Pro program leverages the power of partnership between the AMA and the Digital Marketing Institute to help you get world-class learning and dual digital marketing certification credentials.

eCornell Cornell University’s online learning platform, eCornell, delivers online professional certificate programs to individuals and organizations around the world. The certificate programs are personally developed by Cornell faculty with expertise in a wide range of topics, including leadership and management, marketing and technology, human resources, healthcare, hospitality, and more.

Don’t forget that LinkedIn also offers a variety of certifications: LinkedIn Learning Certifications
